Design work for Mozaic Travel
Mozaic Travel is a premier inbound travel agency for Mozambique, where adventurous travellers may find a plethora of tours and activities organized by people who live and breathe Mozambique.
We've had a lot of fun designing their site: having been in the travel & adventure business for over 15 years, Mozaic Travel's CEO had a wealth of information and photographs available.
Mozaic Travel's new portal now has a rugged adventurous look, with lots of wood tones and handwritten content.
Custom drawn maps
The best way to show travellers where their trip is going to take them, is by showing them a map. And on Mozaic Travel's website, not just any old map, but one that looks rugged and used, and shows only the landmarks that are of interest to adventurous travellers.
We've searched high and low, but pretty maps of Mozambique are rare - so we drew them ourselves. Our faded map is a vector graphic, which means we can present it at any zoom level. On Mozaic Travel's web site, tours are actually shown with a little "Indiana Jones"-style red line showing the trajectory. Each point of interest can be clicked for more information.
We're not done yet, though. As a next step, we're contemplating allowing visitors to plot their own tours, by connection stops on a zoomable map.
It's not static
All content of the website can be edited by the owner through our state-of-the-art content management system Artemis, so the lodges and tours on offer are updated constantly. Add some serious search engine optimization and Mozaic Travel has extreme visibility on Google.
That was just a sample
There's lots more! We've built many websites for many clients inside and outside of Mozambique. If you want to see more work, download our portfolio.
We build tailor-made software for any platform. We've made large web applications with database back-ends, desktop databases with powerful user interfaces and reporting capabilities, and even portable databases on Palm handheld computers.
